Nairn is relatively flat for a Highland town and ideal for walkers and cyclists of all abilities. Sustrans have produced a handy cycling map of the area. If you prefer to keep your feet on the ground, you can find more information on walks around Nairn at Walking Highlands.
Nairn to Househill: You can follow the River Nairn from its mouth at the harbour past the common land known as The Maggot and Nairn Dunbar Golf Club along the riverbank to Jubilee Bridge and Prince of Wales Walk to Firhall Bridge. You can return down the other side of the river, through Queens Park, or walk out via the A939 to Househill Courtyard, where you will find a lovely café, a farm shop with local artisan produce and Loch Ness Furniture which sells beautiful furniture, homeware and gifts. Wildlife on the riverbank includes a bevy of mute swans, nesting near The Maggot.
