The Links offers direct views over Central Beach and the Moray Firth, play parks, cafes, games areas, and plenty of open space for flying kites, playing games and just relaxing or enjoying a picnic.
Viewfield Park: This secluded, wooded parkland between The Links and High Street includes a community orchard and the fascinating Nairn Museum. In front of the museum, you’ll find a statue dedicated to Dr John Grigor, the man who made Nairn famous as a Victorian health resort.
The Maggot is a riverside park that features a well-maintained running track and waymarked riverside walk.
Let the kids burn off some energy at Queens Park’s cycle track, skatepark, BMX track and football pitch.
The Farmer’s Showground is a large outdoor event space. Look out for the curling pond, where winter bonspiels were once held.
Walk in the footsteps of Charlie Chaplin at The Newton Hotel. The cinema legend was a regular visitor and enjoyed exploring the hotel’s 21 acres of parkland and garden, as well as his visits to Central Beach.
