The Nairnshire Partnership (formerly the Nairn Initiative)The Nairn Initiative has now been superceded by the Nainshire Partnership,a multi-bodied partnership between the voluntary sector, private sector and public agencies. The Nairnshire Parnership is the Community Planning Partnership for the area
- It is about making sure that people and communities are genuinely engaged in the decisions made on public services which affect them;
- It is requiring a commitment from organisations to work together to provide better services;
- It is about providing an over-arching partnership framework to co-ordinate other initiatives and partnerships;
- It is about involving the community, voluntary, business and public sectors.
The following are members of the Nairnshire Partnership:-
Association of Nairn Businesses, Association of Nairnshire Community Councils, CVS Nairn, HIE Inner Moray Firth, Highland Council, Lodgehill Medical Practice, Nairn Youth Forum, NHS Highland, Northern Constabulary and Visit Nairn Tourist Association.
The Partnership is chaired by Cllr. Liz MacDonald and administered by Highland Council's Ward Manager, Louise Clark, at the Court House, Nairn. IV12 4AU, Tel. No. (01667) 458569.
The Partnership currently meets six times a year.
Highland Leader
The Nairnshire Partnership has formed the Leader Local Action Partrnership to consider applications from the Nairn Area.
