As a centre from which to visit tourist attractions in the North of Scotland, Nairn could not be better placed. The town is the eastern gateway to the
Highlands

Start within Nairn at the Museum. It is packed with information on local history. On the outskirts of Nairn is Culbin Forest and Culbin Sands. Culbin is designated as a Site of Special Scientific Interest and is a recognised nature
reserve of the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds (RSPB). Also on the outskirts of the town are Fort George and Culloden Battlefield, both linked to the events of 1746.
Venture further afield to Loch Ness, the Cairngorms, Ben Nevis and Dornoch. All are well-known areas offering unique visitor experiences.
