Elgin Cathedral

23 miles east of Nairn

This is a magnificent ruin in the heart of the county town of Moray. Much of the work is in the late 13th century style and it was modified after the burning of the church by the infamous ‘Wolf of Badenoch’, Alexander Stewart, in 1390. The site is now cared for by Historic Scotland.
