Distilleries

As well as the whisky trail through Moray and Speyside, there are 4 distilleries within close proximity to Nairn.

The Royal Brackla Distillery in Cawdor is owned by John Dewar & Sons Ltd.  It was the first distillery to be awarded the royal warrant in 1835.

To the east of Nairn on the outskirts of Forres is Benromach Distillery and Malt Whisky Centre.  This is owned and managed by Gordon & MacPhail.

Tomatin Distillery and Visitor Centre is to the south of Inverness .  There has been a distillery on the site since 1897.

Muir of Ord, 15 miles west of Inverness , is home to Glen Ord Distillery and Visitor Centre.  Established in 1838 it is currently owned by UDV.
