Brodie Castle

6 miles east of Nairn

Brodie Castle, handed over to the National Trust for by the present Brodie of Brodie, was home to the family for over 700 years. After being badly damaged by fire in 1645, the castle was rebuilt. Today, it offers visitors an opportunity to view interesting furnished interiors and artefacts. In the grounds you can view a Pictish stone which was discovered during excavations in 1781, and enter the old dairy once used by the castle.
