Nairn is home to two top quality championship links golf courses - The Nairn Golf Club and Nairn Dunbar Golf Club. Both have hosted a number of national and international competitions. The clubs offer first-class facilities including a well equipped professional's shop, year-round catering and practice facilities. Both welcome visitors and stage a number of open competitions, including five-day Opens (men), one-day Opens (men's and ladies') and open mixed foursomes.

 

The Nairn Golf Club (est. 1887) has played host to the Scottish Ladies' and British Ladies' Championships, Scottish Men's Strokeplay Championship, the Vagliano, the Amateur Championship, the Walker Cup, the European Strokeplay Championship, the Jacques Eglise Trophy and is due to host the Curtis Cup in 2012.  The club also offers the nine-hole Cameron Course which is also open to visitors.

Nairn Dunbar Golf Club (est. 1899) has played host to the Scottish Ladies' Championship, the Northern Open, the Scottish Men's Strokeplay, Scottish Girls' (Close) Championship, the Scottish Boys' Strokeplay Championship and the Scottish Open Amateur Mixed Foursomes Championship. With three new holes completed in 1994, the course provides a challenging round.

On the outskirts of Nairn is Cawdor Castle Golf Course (est. 1976). Lying within the grounds of Cawdor Castle , the nine-hole golf course offers a variety of challenges that will test the seasoned player and the beginner. A licensed restaurant and snack bar are available at the castle.
