Nairn's Handyperson Scheme

The Volunteer Centre here in Nairn, offers the services of a Handyperson Scheme. The scheme is run by volunteers and provides a free repair and assistance service to vulnerable members of the community in Nairn and the surrounding area.

Jobs undertaken include moving light furniture, fitting shelves, changing tap washers, cleaning windows, changing curtains, emulsioning and glossing rooms in house. Because of health and safety guidelines, neither roof, gas, electrical work nor carpet fitting can be carried out. Gardening tasks are also undertaken, such as small weeding tasks, grass cutting, hedge trimming, pruning shrubs and bushes, clearing pathways, laying out plants and bulds and clearing leaves.

If you wish to access the services of the Handyperson Scheme, contact the Volunteer Centre on 01667 453055.

The Handyperson Scheme is urgently seeking volunteers to undertake tasks for the Scheme.  If you can help, for even a few hours a week, then contact us at the Volunteer Centre by telephone (01667 453055) or email  nairn@volunteeringhighland.org
